Brian Coffill has been awarded the 2019-2020 Vytautas Marijosius Memorial Award for Orchestral Programming. This prestigious award honors the creative orchestral programming exhibited during the premiere season of the Randolph-Macon College Chamber Orchestra.


The Marijosius Memorial Award is awarded annually by The American Prize Foundation, the nation's most comprehensive series of contests in the classical arts. According to the American Prize Foundation, "The [Marijosius] Prize recognizes and rewards the best achievement in the unique field of orchestral programming, where the selection of repertoire by knowledgeable, creative and courageous music directors builds orchestras and audiences, educates young people and adults, and enriches the community."
